Why is growing so difficult sometimes? Whether you are trying to grow in your business or even a relationship, it can be challenging. It can sometimes feel like you’re running on a hamster wheel and when you get off, you end up where you started. There are three phases of growth you have to go through in order to continue to the next level. The first phase of growth is being effected by circumstances. So, if you’re surrounded by negativity, you’re going to be effected with negativity. In this case, you are relying on the circumstances to fit what you’re committed to. The next phase is learning how to separate yourself from the circumstances. You do not allow distractions to throw you off the path of getting the results you’re committed to. The circumstances will no longer dictate how you perform. The third phase is learning how to influence yourself, and figuring out what motivates you, what...
A “slump” can be experienced by anyone. That feeling of being consumed by quicksand and it often feels like there is no way out, but this feeling can be escaped by implementing principles. Slumps begin in the mental and then they bleed into the physical. The mind can become one’s worst enemy. The mind can make you question yourself and only thinks about all the things that are going wrong, rather than the things that you are doing right. This leads to paralysis by analysis, and you begin sinking deeper into the quicksand. Here are a couple of ideas for you to get out of a slump:
#1- You need to be able to let go of the opinion your mind forms about a situation to take away the emotion attached to it. Once you take away the emotion and opinion,
#2- Choose an empowering meaning. Look at a situation for what it truly is without emotion. This new perspective will allow you to look at a situation in a more...
Goal setting is good, but don't get caught up too much in it because you might forget about what's important now. Focus on the moment, Think about the things that need to work on right now. Focus on the process and the results will take care of themselves.
I think people get caught up too much in goals. I mean, don't get me wrong. I think goal setting is really good. I think it's important to be reminded of your goals. But i think when we focus on them too much, you forget about what's important now, right?
So think about it like this...
Has there ever been a time when you set a goal, and for like maybe a year goal, a 12-month goal, maybe a five year goal, to a life goal, and then you know, three months, four months down the road you're like, "oh my gosh, I completely forgot I'm off my game, I'm not even focused on that", or worse yet, you set a goal for yourself for 12 months and in six months you don't even want that goal anymore.
So what the heck is that all about?...
A common theme in business and sales is "How do I stay consistent?"
Answer- Get good at procrastinating!
Procrastination is good if it is used on the right things.
When was the last time when someone in your life got interupted by the important things you were supposed to get done or the habits you wanted to develop?
What would it be like if you procrastinated on the distractions and things that are not contributing to your commitments?
Get good at delegating to times. When things that are urgent but not important, delegate them to another time when you're not doing your important activities.
Consider procrastination isn't a bad thing if you procrastinate on the right things.
Okay, time management.
[Gosh] If there is a common theme in real estate or a business alone, it is definitely this idea of "how do I stay consistent?" "How do I manage my time?" "How do I remove the distractions?" and...
When do you know you are thinking too much?
Are you the type of person that agonizes over a decision before you take action?
What would it be like for you and your business if you took the action first, analyzed, learned from it and then took more action?
Action --> Learn --> Tweak --> Repeat
Don't get analytical before the action. Take the action then analyze.
Live by the 40% rule. Once you have 40% of the data you need, take action!
Are you thinking too much?
This video's for all my analytical folks out there, right. I just had a coaching client email me and say, "Hey! What do you think of the sign? Should it be green? Should it be black? Should it be red? Should it be this way? And after we already established, we've already established that is a good-looking sign, you should keep that sign. And now going back over it again and again I mean, Are you the type of person that agonizes over a postcard for two weeks...

3. Having the right environement- You will be discliined to the degree that you have set up your life to allow you to be disciplined.
You're only one move away from having a massive breakthrough in your business.
What's possible for you is endless. But what is stopping you is just an illusion.
Who You Hang Out with Does Matter!
Yesterday I had an amazing realization. I woke up, worked a little bit on what makes me happy and then golfed the rest of the day with a close friend of mine and then finished the day facetiming with with my brother. I had a blast! More days should be like that.
The lesson is to spend more time with those with those you love and who truly love and support you. Your exposure to the right people automatically lifts you up and your exposure to the wrong people automatically brings you down.
The question is not… “Am i spending time with the wrong person?” though. The question to ask yourself is… “Who am I when I hang around this person?”
It’s not about how they make you feel because nobody can make you feel anything. That’s your choice. But the person that you are being as a result of being around that person is an energy thing. Some people you hang around and...
Commitment Versus Romanticism
In today’s business world, so many people are becoming entrepreneurs. Some are starting online businesses, some are going into 100% commission based sales businesses, some are even attempting the route of innovation and trying to build apps and tech companies. It is an exciting time for sure. But as a former athlete, I can’t help but recognize the similarities between sports and business.
When I was growing up, I played baseball…a lot! And in little league all the way up through college ball, it was obvious who was playing baseball as a fantasy or like they were in a romantic movie and who was playing because they were committed to playing. They loved it. It was who they were. As time went on, it wasn’t surprising that as the romantics figured out what was required to play baseball at high level, they started falling off one by one. Going up every level was like a purge of the romantics. The top 20% in little league would go on...
“What we ARE is determined by What we THINK. And what we think is determined by What we LEARN. And what we learn is determined by what we EXPERIENCE. And what we experience is determined by What we are EXPOSED to. -Mike Vance
This quote has always made me think. Our entire lives we’ve being conditioned! Our way of thinking, our way of behaving and ultimately our habits and routines that we have.
The problem of course is, some of those habits are effective for us in getting to the goals we’ve set for ourselves and some are well…not so effective
So how do you get rid of the bad ones to make room for some NEW GOOD HABITS?
Here are 4 things you can do:
1. Analyze and find out what exactly is the obstacle (s).
2. Determine and get clear on your desired outcome.
3. Find out what gap is between your outcome and the obstacle.
4. Explore the NEW...
